Important Information for Applicants
Dear applicant,

Please, carefully read the entire contents of this post before deciding to post an application. Remember to put a lot of thought into your application as your first impression will be a deciding factor. If you write shit, expect nothing more in return. Inability to follow the recruitment application format will result in immediate rejection of your application.

By applying you agree that you understand the following expectations:

1. You must be able to remain focused and attentive for long periods of time. During progress, raids will require hours of high level performance and we will expect all raid members to listen to their role and the overall strategy.
2. Leaving the computer or other forms of AFK when assignments/roles are being handed out is not tolerated.
3. You must be able to adapt to the guild and get along. We encourage individuals to get to know other members especially that of your own class.
4. Be patient and do not whine or complain if it is unnecessary.
5. You have an advanced understanding of your class. As an applicant, you must illustrate expertise in your class. We are concerned with performance so theorycrafting is not required. However, we do recommend you collaborating with others in your same role.
6. You must be committed. During progress we will raid up to five nights a week and sometimes we end in early AM hours.
7. Members will be expected to come to raids prepared with needed materials (consumables, profession specific items, etc.) and have new/existing gear properly gemmed/enchanted and Glyphs filled out for Main and offspecs.
8. On average, active members play 25-30 hrs a week or more so use this as a benchmark.
9. You must be able to accept criticism. The applicant needs to realize they will underperform at some point and must be able to deal with the high levels of criticism that result. Occult is a high stress environment at times, so don't apply if you do not prefer such an environment.
10. You need to have a very stable connection and a quality computer. You will disclose these details in the application, but we do not tolerate repeated hardware/software issues that impair the raid.
Ventrilo installed is required.

Feel free to remove your application at any time should you feel this is not the right environment for you.

A few words about us:

Our main focus is to be competitive in PvE endgame content. We also like to participate in PvP and encourage the guilds members to run arena teams weekly. We expect all members who log on to want to work on there gear and progress through endgame content.

Once your application is submitted, expect questions/comments on your application within 24 hrs. It is the applicants responsibility to reply when messaged in game/email so we can give you an answer as soon as possible. If we do not get to you in 24 hrs DO NOT message officers/members of Occult and nag them about your application, this will cause your application status to be immediately rejected.

You will receive 1 of 3 answers to your application:

A) You are accepted and ready to begin your recruit period.

B) Your application is declined, i.e. we do not believe you are a match for what we are looking for.

C) Pending. This usually happens when we receive a strong application for a class we cannot currently accommodate within our ranks. Usually, should a need arise at a later time, these applications will be given priority.

We wish the best of luck on your application and wait to hear from you.
